Butter makes food tastes better. And I do miss it, I’m not going to lie. Before I went vegan I used a lot of butter for pretty much everything; baking, frying, spreading it on toast.
So I was on the lookout for a good vegan spread that would mimic regular butter.
There are couple of very similar recipes, all using refined coconut oil. I don’t use refined stuff – refined means processed. So I’d rather stick to unprocessed, unrefined food.
I finally found a recipe that, optionally uses unrefined coconut oil, which imediatelly makes it healthier than refined coconut versions of homemade vegan butter recipes.
