Overnight oats are a great grab’n’go breakfast, healthy brunch or really, any meal of the day when your schedule doesn’t allow you to eat something more proper.
Making overnight oats is quick and easy, and today we’ll learn how to make overnight oats.
Use this recipe as an inspiration not a rule – you can add, substitute or tweak ingredients like different nuts, seeds, milk, butter and fruits.
How to make overnight oats
As the name suggests, you should make your overnight oats in the evening to have it ready the next morning.
3/4 cup rolled oats (90 g), gluten-free if needed
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 cup plant milk (250 ml),
Almond butter (optional)
Fresh berries (optional)
- Add all the ingredients to a jar (except the almond butter and the blueberries), stir, cover and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 4 hours.
- Give a good stir before serving and add more milk if needed. Then add your favourite ingredients, like blueberries and almond butter.
- Keep leftovers covered in the fridge for 3 to 4 days.
